Hannah Pinson
Biography
Hannah Pinson is interested in the relationship between form and function in artificial and biological neural networks. She has a background in physics and computer science, both of which she studied at the VUB. Her master studies were completed with a year-long research stay with the Tegmark group at MIT in 2017. In 2018, she started her PhD as an FWO fellow under the supervision of Prof. dr. Ginis. During her PhD she also learned to experiment with real neurons in the labs of Prof. dr. Levin at Tufts University and Prof. dr. Sahin at Harvard Medical School. She now enjoys combining experimental, computational and mathematical techniques to answer fundamental questions about neural networks.
