Joeri Lenaerts
Biography
Joeri Lenaerts is a teaching assistant and Ph.D researcher under the supervision of Prof. dr. Vincent Ginis. Joeri graduated with a Master in Physics at the Vrije Universiteit Brussel in 2020. His interdisciplinary research lies at the interface of Physics and Artificial Intelligence. On the one hand, he is studying how the tools of Artificial Intelligence can be used to design optical elements in Nanophotonics. On the other hand, he researches how we can use Physics to better understand neural networks, a very popular learning method in current AI.
